Would love to see more plant based menu options. Get creative with veggies. Otherwise the staff is great!

This little market and grill is adorable. The location is quaint and the owners and staff and personable. They carry a lot of different items, which is handy 20 minutes out of town. They even had epsom salts! Love the wooden walkways and the outside dining area under umbrellas.

Food is great and the portions are huge--two meals worth. I get the chorizo burrito with salsa. Outdoor seating is nice when it's not too windy. They're always extremely kind. Feels like a small, country grill, which it is.

Service at counter quick and courteous. Ordered cheese burger combo meal at $14.69. Burger and fries were very good. Portion size was adequate. We ate at the picnic tables outside on a beautiful July day in BV. I will return again soon.

I have ordered lunch from the grill a few times. Good food. I like the veggie burrito. Its huge and quite filling. A little heavy on the onions though. As other people have mentioned, it takes a while to get your food. You order up front and pay inside. Then come back out and wait. While you wait you can do some shopping inside the store or some exploring around the property. The store itself is a solid little convenience store. Snacks, drinks, desserts, gifts, lotto tickets, etc. Good selections to choose from. Outside of the store there is a old school house that you can look at. If you like history, especially of the local variety, then you should appreciate that. There is also a wall of want ads and pet adoption fliers. Like a giant, old fashioned, pre-internet bulletin board. In fact, walkimg around the building on the wood plank walkway feels like stepping back into the old west. If you should be lucky enough to experience the Bear Valley Market and Grill in the winter months, be prepared to have your eyes dazzled but the thousands upon thousands of Christmas lights and the accompanying decorations. They do it up big here!

On our way out of Bear Valley last week we decided to stop and grab some lunch. You order on the outside and pay inside the market. We had our masks on and nobody was standing there so I felt comfortable. After placing the order is when things went downhill for me. I went in the market and the people first in line didn't have masks on. I can't understand this because it's supposed to be a requirement. I went down the empty isle and got in line. I watched the cashier who also didn't have a mask on, handle the money and touched her face three times. Yes, I was counting. When I approached the cashier, I asked if she was not afraid to get sick? She said she can't wear mask because of her asthma and claustrophobia. She was very nice and gracious, was not rude because I was asking her questions. I just think she should be doing something in the back away from customers if she can't wear a required mask. Customers will see she doesn't have it on and think they don't have to wear it. We need our businesses to keep us safe. Now back out side waiting for food, it's crowded and people are not wearing masks. I am continuing to back up and try to stay away from them. They finally called my name and I was out of there. Slathered my hands and arms with sanitizer. When I was in the car I was thinking I should hold off going out for awhile. The food was good, patty melt had lots of cheese and onions, delicious! The boys were happy with their burgers. This experience would have been a perfect 5 stars if we didn't have to go in the market to pay. I think masks need to be worn by everyone or no service.
